Learning Objectives from Syllabus:

5.1 Solve systems of linear and nonlinear in two variables.

5.2 Perform operations with matrices.

5.3 Solve and apply systems of linear equations using matrices.

Upon the completion of this Unit, a student should be able to:

•  solve systems of linear equations in two variables and applications 
•  solve systems of nonlinear equations in two variables
•  solve systems of linear equations using Gaussian and Gauss-Jordan elimination methods
•  do operations on matrices
•  find determinants for square matrices
